I’m pleased to announce that I will be returning to Uganda and will be active as 5X2I between 29 September and 10 October 2025. My license has been successfully renewed. The QTH is located on the shore of Lake Victoria, the same beautiful spot I operated from in 2023.

The QTH will be at Kalanoga Resort, located in Busabala, just outside Kampala, Uganda. The exact grid locator is KJ60hf. The station will feature a Hustler BV6 vertical antenna, installed at the shore of Lake Victoria, with additional add-on kits for the 17 m and 24 m bands.

The Grey Crowned Crane (Balearica regulorum gibbericeps) is the national bird of Uganda and a proud symbol of the country’s natural beauty and heritage. Graceful, elegant, and easily recognizable by its golden crown of feathers, the crane is featured prominently on Uganda’s national flag and coat of arms.
